Compare like with like
A six-cell image grid is useful for several versions of the same object. Keep the object approximately the same size within each source image before combining them. A close-up beside a distant view can look more important simply because it occupies more of its cell. If labels matter, include them in your source artwork rather than relying on tiny details to identify each option.
