The collage fills its cells using the source images, so inspect the crops for lost edges. Choose suitable source framing instead of expecting every original proportion to remain visible.
Adding spacing changes the geometry around the cells. The zero-gap preset provides the exact starting square arrangement; review any spaced version before relying on its overall ratio.
Each cell has a width-to-height ratio of one to three. Three identical cells in one row therefore have the same combined width as height when no gap is added. The preset describes cell proportions, not a one-to-three overall output. If you select ordinary square cells, the result becomes a wide three-photo strip instead. Check the preview whenever changing these settings.
A person, a plant, or an object photographed vertically can work well in a narrow panel. Wide landscapes and group portraits often need too much information across the frame. Try three related details rather than squeezing an entire scene into every cell. Similar lighting creates continuity, while different perspectives give each panel a reason to be there.
