With Square selected, the export is 2400×2400 pixels and the cells are square. Switching paper changes their shape even if both controls still show three.
If you insert the PNG into a slide or document, preserve its aspect ratio while resizing. Stretching the image to fit a wide area turns the square cells into rectangles and may change the appearance of the line widths.
