Not inherently. Both start from reduced image blocks and a sampled palette. Rounded changes their shape, while block size remains the main control for spatial detail.
The treatment draws separate blocks with softened corners rather than smoothing the original photograph. The small spaces between them contribute to a tiled appearance. Large cells make that pattern more pronounced, while smaller cells create a finer texture and preserve more detail in faces or illustrated subjects.
Unpainted spaces around the rounded cells can reveal the surface beneath the PNG. A result previewed on white may feel different over a dark page or a colored slide. Check the actual downloaded file in your destination layout, and switch to Classic if you need a continuous field of square blocks.
The download is a flat PNG. Photos are processed at up to 2200 pixels on the longest edge, then rounded down to complete blocks. Pixel size controls each block, not a target canvas such as 32×32. Keep your original for later edits.
