A photograph can become a graphic background or an abstract color composition when details are grouped into large cells. The starting palette retains more shades while the blocks make the effect obvious. For a flatter look, reduce Colors after choosing a block size that fits the composition.
The conversion applies to the whole uploaded image. It does not offer a selection brush for a single face or a separate background mask. Crop first for a detail study, or combine the exported effect with the original in another editor if only one part of the final design should be pixelated.
The download is a flat PNG. Photos are processed at up to 2200 pixels on the longest edge, then rounded down to complete blocks. Pixel size controls each block, not a target canvas such as 32×32. Keep your original for later edits.
