This tool controls block size in pixels. The cell count follows the processed source dimensions; it does not offer a target row-and-column setting.
Switch from Grid to Classic and apply the effect again. The colored blocks remain, while the overlay lines are removed from the new result.
This starting setup uses large cells and eight colors to expose the main structure quickly. Try it on a leaf, a piece of fruit, or a simple portrait. If you cannot identify the subject at a glance, use a closer crop or smaller blocks before adding more colors.
The output can guide a visual exercise or an early mosaic concept. It is not a numbered inventory, material shopping list, or editable pattern file. The generator chooses colors from the source photograph, so similar-looking shades may still need to be combined manually when translating the design into physical materials.
The download is a flat PNG. Photos are processed at up to 2200 pixels on the longest edge, then rounded down to complete blocks. Pixel size controls each block, not a target canvas such as 32×32. Keep your original for later edits.
