The control changes visual block size. Set print dimensions in your print dialog or image editor and check the available pixels before enlarging the result.
Reopen the original photo and use smaller blocks or more colors. Increasing the size of an already converted image cannot recover the discarded source detail.
Pixel size changes the amount of visible spatial detail. Colors changes how many shades the converter tries to retain. Adjust block size first until the outline looks right, then reduce the palette. Moving both controls at once makes it harder to understand why a face or object became less recognizable.
This page is useful for retro photo treatments, mood-board experiments, and simple reference graphics. It is not a calculator for converting screen pixels into centimeters or print resolution. The exported picture contains the finished effect, so edits to the original subject must be made before conversion or in another editor.
The download is a flat PNG. Photos are processed at up to 2200 pixels on the longest edge, then rounded down to complete blocks. Pixel size controls each block, not a target canvas such as 32×32. Keep your original for later edits.
