For a series of related graphics, write down your block size, color count, and style. Use similarly framed source images so those settings have a comparable effect. Different source dimensions still produce different numbers of blocks, so a matching preset does not guarantee identical visual density across every photograph.
A product with reflective surfaces often needs more colors than a flat illustration. A portrait can lose its expression if nearby skin tones collapse too aggressively. Inspect the features that communicate identity or form, then simplify the less important parts through source cropping rather than demanding one extreme setting everywhere.
