This tool needs an existing image. Capture or scan the subject first, then upload that file; it does not generate a picture from a written object name.
Increase Pixel size and apply again. Lowering Colors simplifies shading, but it does not by itself change the size of the square blocks.
A digital photograph is made from many small picture elements. This effect makes groups of them look like larger square blocks and reduces the range of colors. You are changing the visible style, rather than turning a non-digital physical object directly into a computer file. Photograph or scan that object first.
A mug, fruit, or pet makes it easy to judge what the effect removes. Watch a curved edge become a staircase as blocks grow. Then restore smaller blocks and reduce the palette instead. Comparing those two changes explains the separate roles of spatial detail and color detail.
The download is a flat PNG. Photos are processed at up to 2200 pixels on the longest edge, then rounded down to complete blocks. Pixel size controls each block, not a target canvas such as 32×32. Keep your original for later edits.
