No. It calculates grid spacing from the chosen paper dimensions and cell counts. It does not detect or measure objects.
No. They assume the nominal paper size. Actual print scaling and printer margins must be checked separately.
The width value divides the selected paper width by the number of columns; the height value divides paper height by rows. For the A4 preset, ten columns give 21 mm and fourteen rows give about 21.21 mm.
These are canvas-based calculations, not measurements of photographed objects. The grid cannot infer a real object’s size from an image or compensate for perspective and lens distortion.
A cell is square only when its horizontal and vertical intervals match. Equal numbers of rows and columns on A4 do not produce square cells because A4 is rectangular.
The PNG carries the visual proportions, while your print application determines its final physical size. Automatic fitting or margins can reduce every interval, so check with a ruler when the measurements matter.
