A subject near an intersection can create useful space around it, but a centered composition can also work. The grid shows positions; it does not grade the photo. Compare where the visual weight sits and whether important details have enough room around the frame.
The thirds overlay follows the selected output canvas. If Full photo adds margins, the lines divide the canvas including those margins. Choose a matching paper ratio or inspect a filled crop when you want the guide to describe the visible photographic frame more closely.
